Advice and opinion on build

Hi guys,
So I've managed to get an i7 4820k with an Asrock Fatal1ty x79 board (looks awesome) from a mate of mine, and now I need the rest of the system.
I already have a Geforce 770 I bought awhile back, Corsair HX850 power supply, and the Asus PB278Q monitor, so nearly ready for a decent gaming experience:)
In 3 weeks, I will be able to get the rest, and I would like to know if what I'm planning on getting would be good together, or else you could recommend anything else that would suit the build better.
I plan on getting the Bitfenix Ronin tower, Corsair H110 CPU cooler (I'm aiming to get my CPU into the high 4ghz and beyond, if possible), Avexir Core Blue Series 16GB DDR3 PC3-17000C9 2133MHz Quad Channel memory, Samsung 250GB SSD, and a copy of Win 8.1.
With the Corsair cooler, should I stick with the stock tm on the cooler, or stick with some arctic silver 5 that I have left? I've read about the mx-4 and that sounds good with no curing time, so would you recommend that? And what about delidding, is that something to consider with the 4820k?
I planned on getting another KFA2 770 in the future for Sli, but then I read about Mantle, so would you scrap that idea then, sell my 770, and save up for the next AMD card?
My budget is about £550, and all those parts seem to fit perfectly (I hope). Any advice and answers to those questions would be appreciated, thx!

P.S Excuse my layout, I have absolutely NO idea how you guys link the products like you do.. I'm not a forum maestro as I'm sure you noticed hehe, so please forgive me

That mobo might well need a BIOS update to use the Ivy-E CPU dude.

I'd consider that but prices change so better to check nearer the time really. You can use THIS to help you post a basket in the future

Cheers for the reply guys!

@honosuseri, you gave me a fright there man, but I checked the OC website, and it seems that Ivybridge-E is the only LGA2011 CPU there, and it's a 2011 board, so hopefully will be alright.
About the memory, that is bloody awesome! Most definitely will change for that. I see the mhz are higher, but the timings are also a little higher too, will that have any effect? Cant see it tbh.
I still have no idea about the case though, but I need a slim one because of space issues, and as long as it can fit one of those Corsair Hydro coolers. What would be the best TM for it though?

Btw, will I see much difference between the h100 and h110? Like I said in my main post, I'm hoping to get the CPU to high 4ghz, don't think I'd be stressing it for 12hrs+ with prime, but will be encoding a lot of videos, and playing cpu intensive game (so they say)

Thx for that link dude, still learning and liking

There's the board

I'm not trying to scare you fella, just telling you how it is ;)

With the panel you have (1440P) I can understand why you might want to go the dual GPU route. The Ronin is a nice mid range case but I wouldn't want to be packing twin GPUs in one. The stock Spectre fans aren't great, by the time you've spent out adding/upgrading fans to stop it being a "hot box" you'll probably wish you just got a better case in the first place.

The H110 has a larger rad (and fans), so yes it'll cool a bit better than the H100. The refurb'd H100 at ~£40 offers great cooling for the price though, I upgraded it's fans for you and those red rings will help keep your colour scheme going. Both the CLCs will have TIM pre-applied, the AS5 might help knock off another deg or two so it's up to you if you want to clean the stock TIM off.

Pity the 540 isn't a viable option, this 750D is very nice but a little more cash. You'll notice the cases I've suggested have 140mm fans as standard and I'm assuming you want the side window panel. You might be choking on the price but I'd rather have the better case with the refurb'd H100 than pay nigh on £100 for the H110 and use a midrange chassis.

There is a trial for windows 8 you can use for free. That will shave a decent sum of cash off the bill now and you can worry about paying for the OS in the new year. If you hate windows 8.1 you can buy Windows 7 no harm done.

All the best with the build bud, we look forward to seeing how it goes :)

This is exactly why I could only ask for advice here on the OC Forums :-)

Really good reply, and you've posted exactly what I needed.
I had been torn between the 750d and Ronin, but now I know I need the extra room, so the 750d it is!

Same with the corsair h100, you really can't beat that price

So cheers dude, looking forward to the build :D Haven't done one in ages
