Used to work in Coventry and hang round with a few guys from different origins, and it's interesting how the different ethnic groups who have been here for a few generations hate on the most recent groups (The Pakastani's hating on the Kosovan's etc.).

You do realise the word "race" isn't just for ethnicity?

Yes Islam on it's own is a religion, but the word "race" can actually be used to describe the collective people of Islam or the "ummah". Remember the word race means a group of humans with a particular commonality, it's not just limited to geographic or ethnic. There are over a billion Muslims, therefore, sorry, but people of Islam are a race.

It's such a common misconception. One which never fails to make me facepalm. Yes everyone knows Islam is a religion, but doesn't mean the collective people of Islam cannot be defined as race.

Ok here's one for you, what word do you use to describe the people of Islam as a collective?
