It is silly money for a car thats closer to 6 than it is to 5, though posts like this really make me regret selling mine given that it'd be worth not exactly loads less than I paid. I only paid £5k more than you for a 2.5 year old one with CIC HDD Nav, 1 owner, from a main dealer :(

To have only lost under 2k a year in depreciation over the next 3 years of its life would have been insane!

I just dont understand why they are still worth so much money? It's mental.

You did get yours pretty cheap in the first place, so that would have reduced the depreciation hit somewhat, but they do seem to be holding their value amazingly well. It's not like the cars aren't selling at these prices either. On average most the decent cars I've seen hang around for no more than 2 weeks.

A 2.5 year-old 335i in the current market will set you back around £22k-£23k. You can pick up a 2007 e92 for around £11k-ish, but they tend to be the less popular colour combos and low on options. As crazy as it seems this was a good price for a car that is always going to be easier to sell than some of the cheaper ones.

I paid 15k for mine same age infact a 57 plate diesel.. lovely motor though.

Only this weekend did I wonder why I had not looked at Mercs. For the money a newer one with good spec can also be picked up.

I was chasing bhp for my daily drive to be fair 350bhp and 40+mpg is not to be sniffed at

They are a little expensive now but they where very cheap when you bought yours (plus you got a very good deal), I have been looking for a Z4 35i and they all seem to be the same price as they where 1.5 to 2 years ago.

Very nice and basicly the same as mine spec wise but mine is a 335d with cinnemon leather. I too have a wood dash and when I saw pics of it advertised initially thought ah well I can get that sprayed but it turns out I quite like it.

Enjoy

I was trying to find a 335d/335i for ages with cinnamon leather but not black, no luck :(

Looks lovely OP, remap it ;)

Not long got back from picking her up and got to say I'm in love already :) Had a great drive down the M3 back home and even managed to average 32mpg according to the OBC.

It's such an effortless drive as a cruiser, but you can very quickly find yourself doing silly speeds without even realising it. Really looking forward to the drive to work tomorrow morning!

Friend of mine does it along with a host of other coding. Will put you in contact if you wish, he is based in Essex.
