US: The Walking Dead Season 4 (contains spoilers)

Managed to watch the first episode and like many in here, i thought it wasnt great but good nonetheless.

Wonder what happened with that kid in the shower, pretty sure he will be causing havoc in the prison until they kill him off.

Hopefully will get better as the season goes on but i can sympathise with people in here that they seem to be running out of ideas to carry this series forward.

With the amount of new faces, can't wait for them to build up the characters and then we can watch them eat each other limb by limb.

That is why we watch it no ?
 
Was the second episode better or worse than the season premiere?

I've got so many better things to do than sit through 45 minutes of something I may no longer care for.

They started the premiere like they were now completely used to zombies, inside their perimeter they're completely safe, they have the daily ritual of killing a load at the fence and they have a farm with pigs etc. But then it turns out they're still just as dumb, getting almost completely killed on a trip out because they assume it's a good idea to let a newb out unattended, and then you've got rick who's still intent on going for walkabouts all by himself and nearly getting merked. It's like they've learnt nothing for all their bloodshed and loss.

Unless someone can truly recommend the second episode to me then I will be quitting the Walking Dead. I think Lori knew when to quit tbh!
 
I guess they want people to think it was the guvnor but that seems really cheesy.

Probably some yet to be introduced character.

The impression I get from the burned bodies scene is that whilst both sick they went to the yard and burnt themselves?

Wild guess anyway!
 
Again they all looked like panicked limp wristed fools.

What is with them plodding along stabbing them at the fence????!!!!

Killing one per minute. Are they physically incapable of stab move stab move stab move????
 
Yeah, it's a bit ridiculous that it's becoming an issue to handle the zombies really.

Also, you'd always have a look out (More than 1 really) so you'd know who's feeding the zombies (Or should do)
 
It just seems dumb that they are still poking through the fence and trying to hold it up by poles, haven't they thought that the fence is going to collapse. Well they did hold some parts of the fence up already you would have thought they would do the rest of the fence.

They seem to have made it so weird that i don't want to watch it. Like when the old woman is saying to the young girl that she must kill her dad not the girl. I had skip past that part and the part where they were cutting the pig and leaving it.

But over all I think it is good to watch. I don't think they burnt themselves at the end or why would there be a blood stain mark on the floor if they walked outside voluntarily. It looks like she was dragged outside. I bet it was that older women, she has gone a bit crazy.

Why have they not thought of more efficient ways to kill zombies on mass? Season 4 and they are still taking them out one by one?
 
Carol is a good shout regarding the bodies as she doesn't seem like she wants to take any risks i.e. with teaching the kids how to protect themselves, trying to get the girl to kill her dad etc. however, I don't think she would be that "evil" with regards to not letting the others know and doing it all by herself. Plus they weren't of any threat in the sense they were contained in their own cells....

I wonder if the older girl was feeding the rats to the walkers, remember she doesn't see them as "dead" people plus the way her wee sister said she is messed up big time.

I reckon it was the army medic guy that burnt the bodies.....


I agree it does seem rather stupid how the group have forgotten how to deal with walkers and especially with fortifying the fence, as I said earlier, they should have put those pointy sticks all the way along the fences and reinforced them with the logs. Also, wouldn't it be a good idea to have people constantly at the fence killing zombies, had so many scenes in that episode where the zombies had built up and no one was there...... Especially at night!

Found it a bit stupid how so many people were turned in the prison block before the "alive" people noticed, did the zombie go for the throat every time? Smart zombie right there :p Besides surely people would have heard the grumbling etc. noises........

The CGI slashing the pig really bothered me as there was no need and it just looked silly, i don't see why they didn't just fake it with the camera angles like they did with the second pig.
 
Again another episode where nothing happened. Season 4 and they are still poking zombies in the face. Why not make a trap?

Its all just a tad meh. The pigs was daft...It was that dull I ended looking at Adidas online on my ipad :p
