Probably due to the GFWL shutdown as the non GOTY versions of the arkham batman games wont ever be updated to work without GFWL, I suspect that steam will stop accepting non GOTY codes soon.
Still good guy Valve fixing other peoples mistakes.
You mean Warner Bros, surely? Valve wouldn't allow keys to unlock a different version of the game without the publisher's say-so. They would be in a whole world of trouble.

I'm still waiting for them to accept the retail codes, as I've got the non-GOTY retail version of Asylum and I'd like to get it onto Steam... They've definitely announced that this will be possible on the Steam community discussions for the game, but it doesn't seem to work yet

yeah the conversion and removal of GFWL from the game is definetly happening. So it just a case of Steam sorting it out. Hopefully soon.
