Which Banks Do Not charge for overseas transactions

Many of you may be thinking why is theres a Banking question in the PC gaming section.?

Welll been looking at my bank statement it seems a lot of little game bargins have cost me more than I thought. It seems for every steam Game I have purchased of late Ive been charged an Extra £2.50 Not a lot I know but annoying all the same.

I'm thinking of opening a new account for online transaction where Im not going to get charged. Anyone here bank with a high street chain not doing this ?

I've used PayPal a couple of times for Humble Bundles and only paid based on their currency conversion rate.

Yikes!

I use an HSBC credit card for all my online transactions and as far as I know I haven't been charged any extra, it just shows me the conversion rate at the time on the statement.

Thank you guys think ill go open a Natwest account the weekend.

Just an heads up for the other people in here my main account is with Santander. Its only started happening in the last few months so if any of you bank with these cowboys. Keep an eye on where your buying from and an eye on your statements.

Its nothing huge think its £2.50 per transaction I've been charged for humble bundle, steam, amazon.com etc. But I know some of you guys buy shed loads of deals and could become quite costly.

I think that's quite a lot, especially if you are only paying a few dollars for a Humble Bundle, percentage wise that's quite a mark up! Good on you for switching.

I paid for some ecig juice from Ireland last month with my Halifax debit card and they charged me almost £3 in extra charges. One was a currency charge and the other a non standard transaction charge of £1.50!! The stuff i bought only came to £7.90 so that turned out to be a expensive mistake. I always pay with Paypal now so only pay their currency conversion rate.
