Anyway. Good news for us men who have thinning/ thinned / bald heads...

Scientists say they have moved a step closer to banishing bald spots and reversing receding hairlines after human hair was grown in the laboratory.

A joint UK and US team was able to create new hairs from tissue samples.

Far more research is needed, but the group said its technique had the "potential to transform" the treatment of hair loss.

Must say I'm pretty much convinced that within the next decade or so baldness will be cured. Would be amazing to regrow your hair!

Whilst I'd love to be able to give my receding hairline the finger, I'll happily wait a bit longer if this is the first mass application of the science:

Baldness cures may not be the first application of the research. Prof Jahoda believes the findings will be used to improve the quality of skin grafts used after severe burns.

Mine is going! It doesn't bother me that much but I'm 35 now. If it had gone at 20 then it would have been very different. I'd possibly go for a transplant if it was a few hundred quid but it's not something that bothers me enough to spend thousands on. I've never had hair styles really so number 1 all over isn't much different to how I've always been. Not that that's a total solution.

My thought's always been, I'm quite tall and if I had to choose height or hair, I'd stay exactly as I am. No way would I choose 5'8" and hair. Can't have everything.

Don't think I would care if I was to recede. Though I have my grandfather's German side face-swallowing hairline. Going very grey though :/

i love being a baldy! No such thing as bed head, no need to spend time drying its when wet and I can wear an unlimited amount of hats and not worry about messing my hair up. Whats not to like?

A lack of choice? You say that as if people with hair can't shave it off and enjoy the benefits you just mentioned.

Not at all! I think those hairy fellows should shave off for those reasons i mentioned. But if we're doing Top Trumps. Then i started 'thinning' at 16  waited till i was 22 then took it off.
