try and continue Dark Souls, or start Dragons Dogma dark arisen

Loved Dark Souls myself but too hard for me - I managed to get to errr the library with the spikey crystal guards but got stuck there for all eternity.

Gave up on darkroot gardens for now as i think im not good enough yet, so continued and reached the next main boss and oh my, its going to be tricky! Rushes you as soon as you traverse the white door way with adds :O really confined space to fight too

The Capra Demon, right? The secret with him is to kill the dogs as soon as possible, then you can concentrate on Capra himself. He only has one attack that is a bit of trouble, which is a big two handed swing attack, as it'll break your block and damage you. Every other attack, including a jumping two handed attack, can be blocked with no damage taken as long as you have full stamina (remember to release block when he's not swinging at you, so your stamina regens faster). When you're comfortable blocking/dodging his attacks and you know how to avoid getting damaged, it's just a question of picking the right moment to get a few swings in and then getting out of the way. But you definitely need to kill the dogs first. Trying to fight him while the dogs are still alive will just get you killed, as they will break your block just as he's attacking you, and as you no doubt know, he hits like a truck! Get rid of the dogs, and the fight becomes pretty easy. Remember you can also go up the stairs at the back of the area. He'll follow you up there, but it'll give you a second to heal if you need it.

Thanks buddy, i didnt know that about stamina regen speed with shield up etc ill keep my eye on that, i may check my weight load to make movement a bit quicker, i managed to get 1 of the dogs last night but it was a bit overwhelming but i loved it lol need to use the stairs to my advantage :D those dogs were a pain just before the boss and the groups of 3 assassins but got there in the end!

One thing i do love is how shortcuts open up back to certain bonfires and earlier areas just shows how well the areas are designed etc

Soul level 22 atm

Up the stairs there you can move along the wall over to the right hand corner, he will follow you but he falls off. Plunge attack him then and two more hits and he's toast.

Worked for me anyway :)

One thing you could do is to use the Mail Breaker (which you should've picked up on your way to the Capra Demon), as you can use that weapon while you've still got your shield up. Walk through the fog, keep your shield up and head towards the dogs. Kill the dogs with the Mail Breaker while you have your shield up, then swap back to your normal weapon when the dogs are dead to take care of Capra :)

Yea i did pick that up! Ill give that a shot then handy tip thanks :)

As title really, a while back i brought dark souls

I don't normally do this, but this one is a real bugbear of mine.

Brought and bought are two different words. You bought Dark Souls. Granted, once you bought it you probably brought it home, but I doubt that's what you meant.

Sorry mate ill keep my eye on that in future, silly phone post! Failing that, back to school :P

I usually summon help for most of the bosses. Reason being a lot of the time they will know what to do and also if there is a unique weapon to get (cut off tail etc) its better to have 3 heads than 1 to get it.

Have you met a chap called Havel yet? :D

Havel is a wuss, he's a complete cakewalk when you know how to handle him.

I agree about summoning help though, that's always a good thing to do if you're struggling with a boss. I keep meaning to make another low level character to help out people if they're struggling. It's easy (though time consuming) to make the character really OP and keep it at a low level, so it makes killing bosses in co-op an absolute breeze.

I did the boss :D such a good feeling lol my heart was racing, used a mixture of the above tips and had to improvise too but done it :) got to the next fire down in the depths, past a few butchers etc and upgraded some equipment so feel more capable than i did coming back into this :) (all this positivity will be gone when i get my ass handed to me around the next bend tomorrow :) )

Did you find the hidden bonfire in the depths? Its just at the end of a corridor where slimes drop from the ceiling.

What armour are you wearing? Unless you're going totally Ninja :D i recommend the Elite Knight Armour (this is the one in darkroot garden where the stone knights are i think) Remember if you dont have many souls it is well worth going on a suicide run if you can pick up the item you are after (you dont lose items you find after death)

Havel is a wuss, he's a complete cakewalk when you know how to handle him.

Unless you botch it and he falls to his death and his items re-appear but about a MILE down the side of the castle :( Made me so mad i murdered the orange knight chap at the bonfire for his ring (which is very nice but i would have preferrred havel's!)

I may try the garden area again the stone guards were owning me :( but i do want that armor set! Im not sure what im using atm ill post details tomorrow :D

And yea i used master key at the end of that corridor to find the fire :P handy key!
