A nippy car for up to £15k

I prefer the look of the St. It looks awesome in spirit blue plus I'm sure it will be pushed further in the recent future. I prefer the older rs shape over the new one.

Fair play. I'd agree.

Personally I do like the look of the new RS, both in Flame Red and Liquid Yellow it looks the awesome.

Where's the logic in this thread?

Failing to understand why OP made a thread in the first place, already wanted a 208 (which is slower than his requirements), and then proceeds to buy something slower anyway.

Ignoring the fact you bought brand new, so depreciation is going to hit like a sack of spuds.

Anyway, not sure why people make threads, to just ignore whats written in them.

Soulja, congrats on the new car! Lovely looking little motors. Enjoy :)

Get some pics up when you get it.

Thanks. I should hopefully have it by the end of the year. It also gives me time to take the mods off my Focus and sell them on!

I don't think they are a bad looking car but I don't think they look nice either :( Which is a shame because I love the look of the older model. If they would have had a turbo on I might of gone for one of them!

I said a Fiesta ST was better than a 208 and he bought one, so he listened to someone at least ;)

Where's the logic of the OCuK posters?

All I asked for was ideas. Also my requirements was not a super duper mega fast car. All I said was nippy. I never said it must be faster than my current car.

Indeed. Seeing it in spirit blue just made me fall in love with it. Also like I said previously I have a soft spot for STs after driving the 2 litre model and it made me want something better than my old corsa!

They was really trying their best for me to get one but I stuck to my guns :p After seeing it again I wasn't very keen on the outside. Also they don't have CD players anymore!

My main worry with the Focus is that it's a 56 plate and I have been pushing the insides quite hard and I don't want the engine to go bang :p I will be pushing the ST though and getting the odd bits done to it. I Also wanted something that wasn't as boring inside as the Focus.

Once the warranty runs out i'll will be moving onto something bigger as i'll have my NCB up as well.

Good choice, the ST has consistently beat both the GTI and 200 Turbo in reviews for a reason. I've got a test drive booked for a new ST on Saturday, I've put it off for long enough. :)

I will be getting the mp 215 kit which makes 0-60 quicker than a Focus St. My focus is knocking on now and I want something newer and that I won't worry it will die on me. It will have a 3 year warranty and once the 3 years is up I will move on to something bigger. Also the St holds a soft spot for me after it was my best friends(no longer with us.) first car and it was the one that made me realise I needed something quicker than my old 1.4 corsa.

Do not get me wrong - I like the new Fiesta ST. I certainly would own one myself. It's just this statement that confuses:

I currently have a Focus ST and I love it but i'm looking for something else, something that has a decent inside and has a good kick when flooring it.

I would argue that the Fiesta ST has neither of those qualities, or it's at least a step back from your current car. If your Focus isn't satisfying you in terms of performance or quality then a move to the Fiesta isn't going to fix that! It's also going to haemorrhage money due to being new!

Thank the heavens you didn't go for the Peugeot in the end, mind.

The inside of the fiesta is a lot better than the focus and I only said a decent kick. I didn't say something break neck worthy like my current car :p with a remap on I think it will be a lot of fun.

The new Fiesta's are loads better than the pre facelift Focus ST's inside.

I do like the new Fiesta ST's (got a 58 plate MK6 at the mo), must get a test drive booked myself, would like one when they're a bit cheaper as I can't really afford to push myself for a brand new one.

They seem to consistently review better than the competition so I'll be looking forward to your comments on how it drives and some pics of course :)

The car should be ready to pick up sometime in December. It's only a few months away but it will feel like years :p as soon as I get it I shall post plenty of pictures and my opinion on it.

I personally would have stretched a little bit further and went for a Mk.2 FRS bur nevertheless, enjoy your new car.

I'm not so keen on the FRS but I do like the RS :p if I had a garage to park the car in I would have got the rs. I just wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing I've left it on the drive. The car stands out too much and I'd be worried about what some idiot would do to it.
