How do I meet women?

Yeah, this is actually true.

I got a bit wound up on my POF profile so I simply changed the pictures to an obscure model, I even put in my profile "My pictures are fake" hidden in the wall of text about myself, and still I was getting so many messages that in three days my inbox was full. Funnily enough some of the women who I had messaged before and whom had either deleted my message without viewing it or replied with "Sorry, I don't date fat people" or "you are not good enough you ugly ....." were now messaging me flirty chat up lines.

Some actually read the profile and messaged me saying they found it funny and that I had a nice ironic sense of humor.

This is how I came to the conclusion that when it comes to online dating it really is all about looks.
 
I can relate to the OP

I’m almost 30 and while thin and Ok looking I’ve not had a date in 7 years.

Internet dating: seems to suck even more than real life dating lol in the past 18-20 months Ive been on a couple of sites I've maybe had proper communication with about 6 women. Everything seems to go fine phone numbers exchanged, talks on Facebook etc. Then nothing, I just get completely blanked one day. This has happen eveytime so I’ve stop focusing on interdating. T

I have been trying to get out more (joined a few clubs, started going to gym to try and get a bit of muscles etc the past year or so since recovering from a abot of depression but nothing on the horizon atm, I do quite fancy a lady in the gym I not a good idea to try and chat someone up there.

The couple of times I’ve been brave although to ask a lady out that i get one well with and have things in common they seem to date complete ass holes instead lol.

Sometimes I just thing why bother and maybe I should just get used to being permanently alone. Then again if I had power and lots of money i bet my woman fortunes would change lol !

law of least effort, the women are getting fedup because you don't pull the triger quickly enough, less talking more actual meeting up.

I get that but at the same time women say you go as ask someone out too quick you end up coming on to strong and or seeming desperate. To be honest I ask out lass once at work (Member of HR BIG mistake) after talking to her most days and i though I had a chance. Well now I have a rep of being a skirt chaser in the office as which was passed around quick due to the department she’s in (for just asking out this one lady lol) So I try and take a little more time in getting to know someone first to avoid something similar happing

I probably should mention I have asperger's syndrome as well which makes it even more of a minefield talking to women: p

Unfortunately in the judgmental society we live in today that is going to be a big problem. Far too many people care about what their mates or their parents will think of a partner.

Its a hard thing to judge, but the thing to remember is girls will have loads of guys messaging them, if she sends you a message back you have a small window of time (unless by some major stroke of luck she thinks you're the one shes been looking for), until she gets fedup and thinks your wasting her time, or something else comes along which takes her interest, then its out with you and in with someone else.

I would never ask anyone out from work, big mistake imho..
 
Just go to Asia...its a whole role reversal...you'll be swamped. White meat is a delicacy that is well in demand.
 
My solution/secret? Having a well connected Indian boss, best match makers! She did more for my love life in one afternoon than a year of using online (with 3 dates). Results may vary. Good luck to the OP.

I have a mate out in japan and he says british men go down well over there. I am planning a trip there for the spring but I am mainly going for Gundam related reason. Then again if my mate has some good looking female mates......
 
Join a running club. If they are a good one they should be welcoming whatever levels of fitness. Also the guys to girls ratio is huge. We have 3 guys and about 12 girls so it is about 3 or 4 to one. You will also get talking to people and gets you out and about. Any 'club' will be good in this respect but with a running club you will at least be killing two birds with one stone. Make sure your GP is ok with you starting running.

Yeah i lived in Taiwan for 7/8 months and there they approached me (which is a first). Age didn't seem to matter so much either. I think Asian culture is more accepting of a wider age gap between partners as well.

Lol I was bored so I just did it..... within 5 minutes I had 20+ views ( by some real stunners and real dogs ) and loads of really flirty messages, with mobile numbers!..... seems the women on POF are even more pathetic than us men :p


edit: god its like a feeding frenzy!..... message after message!.... "I only want a nice caring man" yeah yeah love... as long as he is a supermodel as well!

Edit2.... god this is hilarious, I think ill have some fun with this... was going to close my account anyway :p see if I can get me some nice piccies lol the best bit is I clearly state the pic is a fake yet they still message, so they clearly don't even bother reading the profiles!

Yup, on POF they judge over looks, you could put that you are a serial rapist in your profile and you would still get 100+ messages a day with the right picture.
