Thoughts on my spec for a friend

£600-£650 budget. Needs keyboard, mouse and monitor; but not os.

This is my attempt, i'm sure that you can do better

That spec is very unbalanced.

For the lower end of the budget this would be ideal and much better.

The biggest problem with your spec was the overpriced 4350 when the 6300 is better and cheaper and the budget motherboard.

I would swap out the CX500 in Doomedspeeds build for the Antec High Current Gamer 520w. The CX series are a budget range with cheap internals while the Antec is a quality Seasonic built unit and is only £4 extra.

Well basically, the 4350 was the major mistake, the 6300 is better and (somehow) cheaper..

Also you went for a high end card and low end everything else, i feel i managed to balance it a bit more by toning down the GPU a bit...

Though the GPU in yours may be better, there may have been a bottleneck present which my spec wouldn't suffer from..

Also mine can overclock better due to the better motherboard (for not much more £)
