NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 Ti To Cost Around $650 – GeForce GTX 780 Reciving Price Cut To Tackle Radeon

About free games, who cares these days what with humble bundles or steam sales. The free games while nice i guess are just a gimmick. Tho i can see why ppl might want em, to flog em to get the price of the card they bought for cheaper in the end but well. If its a expensive card like 400+ then saving a little from the games isnt gona be that much.

Anyone spending 500 quid on a card doesn't care about price/performance anyway. Including me!

Only the first few people really make anything back off the games anyhow, after awhile theres so many people trying to flog em the price drops out.

I cared about performance as w3bbo told me it was a good clocker, otherwise I'd of gambled and bought new. If I cared about price I wouldn't of moved from a 7970 to a 780 :D

How are you finding it Suarez? what did you upgrade from?

does it make a different in games like arma 3 having such a powerful gpu?

I havent kept too up to date on SLI technology but since people in here are talking about buying another 780 to 2/3 way SLI, I figured i'd ask what the current state of micro stuttering is? is it a thing of the past nowadays?

Very minimal on both sides of the fence these days.

Micro stuttering has never been much of an issue for nvidia, it was crossfire that suffered most but they fixed it this year with framepacing drivers.

So does this mean that in fact the R290X is only as good as the 780GTX and probably could be beaten by the likes of a top end 780GTX with high overclocks?

Couple of fps difference depending on the game, won't be noticeable in game. It's basically always been this way for top end cards the last few years, at the time of the 7970 release you couldn't argue AMD were better bang for buck either as the 680's were around the same price when they came out. It's only been the last year or so when they've really tried to offer high end GPU's to the masses for awesome prices.

Blimey, you go offline for a day or so next time you look there's new cards on the table.
So the amd 290's are imminent and is this 780ti a direct response am assuming theres no facts out yet is it a 290 beater or will it measure up to titan performance ..... I am getting lost in the midst of all this gpu madness. Thanks in advance :)

So according to exchange rates as of today *24/10/2013* the 780 TI will cost £401 if it does indeed cost $649.
How much you think we're going to get it for ?

After seeing performance and price of the 290X, I can see Nvidia needing to drop current prices or maybe that is what I am hoping.

Think that's what you're hoping, the common theme has been nVidia do not need to slash prices at all business wise such is their position in the market. But you have to think if they let AMD have a free run at the 290x price-range they'll end up regretting it - no holiday bundle will suffice here.
