Im about to do a reverse atx build in my phantom 630 and would like to know how many 400ml cans of spray paint 8 would need. im going for my usual black and yellow theme with the mesh top, bottom plus the top and bottom exterior of the panels being yellow, so I get a yellow band between the panels and the top, with th3 rest being in black. Would 2 cans of each be enough? Also with the front and top panels being a soft touch finish on the plastic would 8 need to do any special prep for that or just treat it a as I would any plastic? I was also what would you all do as far as the finish goes matte satin or gloss ? Im leaning towards gloess or satin as matte top coat is never truly that flat unless any one can suggest a good product.

Cheers guys please excuse 5he odd wrong key press im on the bus.

yup, primer and lacquer really do help a lot, and if you want to do it really well, some wet & dry sandpaper will help you too.

as for how much spray you will need, will really change depending on how good the paint is too....

the plan is to paint it all, the mesh top and front, along with the top and bottom panels in yellow. The rest will be in black inside and out, including top and front plastic shroud, and feet. There will b e a few yellow accents here and there but that's the basics. The overall look from the side will be blak panel yellow strip then black top with yellow mesh.

Im still undecided on the finish I was originally thinking matt black inside and the outside both colours gloss ?

Yes im aware of good preparation and a good primer but thanks for the reminder, cheers guys
