must admit, waiting for the catch myself... lol I don't get or even expect many gifts for birthdays etc...

I do however suspect after a few months the kids will play on this more then me, as it'll be in the living room , but when they are all in bed I can play a few games on it lol
 
traded in most of my ps3 games today , decided I will sell my ps3 when I get the Ps4 , all I have is GTA5 till the ps4 arrives.

Felt a bit sad:( selling some of them such as Burnout paradise , everybody's golf as although I have not played them for years , they were the first games I got on the ps3.

You see i've got a load of PS3 games I could get rid off, Portal 2 (seeing as I got a Steam version anyhow), Mass Effect 2, GT5, Heavy Rain etc..

but they'll get me next to nothing, and i'm keeping my PS3 for a while so not sure what to do with all my older PS3 games.

If the steaming services sees games like Heavy Rain etc then I'll get rid but I won't expect to get much for them sadly.

I'll be keeping my PS3 personally.

I'd still use it to play the Uncharted/Dead Space/Killzone games through again, plus Last of Us and couple of others, and would like to still pick up Dark Souls1 & 2, even if can do those on PC.

But I am considering selling my 360. Though tempted to keep for Gears and Mass Effect collections. Maybe will just have one more play through the gears games, and get the Mass Effect trilogy on PS3 when it's cheaper, as I will play that again.
 
I have the best arrangement I think. I have a GF who loves my PS3, but no she doesn't like to play on it. Oh no sir! She just loves to watch (dirty ***** :p ). She will quite happily sit for hours watching me play games, particularly the ones with a story line (batman, heavy rain). You know when she is a keeper when she comes in and says excitedly "Can we play some PS3!!" :D

One question on these KZ:SF youtube vids we're getting in the thread now. Are they all actual complete PS4 footage? i.e. NOT PC driven, all singing all dancing. In that, are these the visuals I am going to expect when my box arrives at the end of November?

(if so, the missus ill be pleased - lol!)

I sold my PS3 and a bunch of games last week! :( very sad, but it funds my new purchase :)

I would keep it but I dont have the room and I doubt I would use it when I get the PS4.

I sold 11 games and got £80 , so its fairly good when the majority were old games , the only newer games I had in there were The last of us and Beyond two souls which I would not play again after completing.
 
I'm 31 and I'm paying for a PS4 myself.

My mother is an alcoholic and my father is a tyrant.

I wouldn't even waste my breath asking.

I've worked my ass off doing overtime the past few weeks to ensure it is already paid for.

Can I have a Blue Peter badge?? lol
 
I've still got my 1st gen PS1, 1st gen PS2 and my 1st gen PS3 - could never bring myself to sell any of them. PS4 will be joining them very soon :)

Not sure which videos you are referring to but as a first party exclusive its more than likely to been shown off on a PS4 dev kit if it wasnt the final console but what you see will be representative ...

if that is then we are all in for a visual treat if nothing else.. i've not seen many games apart from a highly modded Crysis 2 on my PC look that good.

And for those who do like the style of Killzone etc, this should i say 'should' be a very good debate launch title for PS4.

Looking forward it now more and more..
 
Keep watching the Killzone vids and have to agree it looks amazing, The only thing is i've never really enjoyed the games like i do others, the controls have always felt sluggish, and as a Twitch FPS style player could'nt adjust properly.

But i want to give it a chance, hopefully Tesco will have the bundle to save a few quid, and i can be happy, if not i'll trade it for another game .

That week after XBO release going to be painful while they rub it in our faces.

But then we can turn around and say - "yeah, well we get 1080p!" :)

And we can get their games on 360 and run at same res anyway :D

You don't play twitch fps games on consoles anyway. CoD is about as close as consoles get to that style and even then it's nowhere near Q3A etc.

Good luck playing Dead Rising 3, Forza 5 and Ryse on your 360 :p

The Killzone videos do look great however !
