290 vs 7990 vs 780 vs Titan

Wait for the influx of people selling their 780's off to buy a 290x for 1080p/1440p to later realise there's little to no difference in games.

7990 is the fastest and under water is very controllable with heat.
Power isn't bad at all and with latest crossfire issues fixed is good in most cases.

Price dropped a lot, gone back up, but for the price you can't beat it.

Yes it is a dual CPU, but it is on a single card.

Let me put it another way, you can have 2 lolipops for the price of 1 and it takes the same space. Would you take 2 or 1 lolipop ?

Yes I have a 7990, I actually bought one of the 1st ones from OCUK when they were released at £850 :)

suarez what card you have by the way ? :D

780 was tempted to switch to a 290x but after reading reviews it's pointless at my resolution. Got mine for £420 though and it's a good clocker, if I'd bought a 780 new I'd of been disappointed considering AMD's awesome pricing on this new card.

Too early to say but I will have a go. 290X is the best for the single GPU price and performance at the moment. 7990 is the best for those who understand how dual GPU's work.

Bang for buck I'd say its going to be the R290, overclocked to buggery on a custom board. With the potential of mantle in the mix as well its looking pretty good for those waiting for BF4.

i was waiting for the 290x but decided to go with the 7990 last week for £450 ish and couldnt be happier. Its around the same price as the 290x, faster ( if you dont mind crossfire ) lower temps and not as loud going by the reviews.
Im not saying the 290x isnt a great card as its a great single card but for the same price you can get a faster card so im definatly glad i got the 7990 as iv crossfired for years now and its even better with the newer drivers.

Im deciding between 7990 and 290x also to be honest. 7990 is a dam good idea especailly if watercooled but I am interested in seeing a msi lightning 290x and asus matrix plat 290x :D
