Ive not looked at the power requirements for that card.

Have a look at Guru3D and their review of the card as it will show power consumption and what PSU they recommend.

Power consumption of the 290X should be no greater than 300W. But make sure (and this is important) that you look at the power per 12V rail. I've got a 3 rail PSU and it's 350W per rail up to a maximum of 720W. Since it uses two power connectors, you can simply assign one rail to each connector.
