Extra surprise when I checked my account

I normally check my bank account via the Barclays mobile app every 2 days and I swear blind that £1000 has magically appeared from nowhere into my account. I know this because I have just spent a little more than average on some electric guitar stuff and I was keeping an eye on how much I was to put into savings this month.

Nothing on the statement via mobile app and then I checked via website on my desktop rather than on my mobile app.

So now I have transferred to my separate savings account.

I am pretty positive that this grand has appeared from nowhere, also happens to be around the time of Barclays updating their app when I transferred over some money to savings via mobile app

So what do I buy with the dollar found in my virtual sofa ?

Or if they try and claim it back, can I charge the ******* a £15 admin fee :)

Spend it on a solicitor who you'll pay to defend the fact that you knowingly and pubically defrauded a financial institution?

nah **** it, let them chase joe public for a change :)

I am investing it just like they do :)

They will. There are entire departments set up to monitor, report and action these daily blips; they happen all the time.

Spend it if you can afford to repay it, sure, but you'll be repaying it one way or another.

Spoil Sports.

I might invest it in their own company shares and tell them to trust themselves and we both can make a profit :)

I'd buy £1000 worth of rice and conduct experiments with it like 'how much rice can I eat in one go' and 'can I buy things using rice'.

Even if you tell them be prepared to hang onto it for a while. About 5 years ago the bank mistakenly doubled a transfer on my dads account to the tune of £23k. He told them about it and they didn't do anything to reclaim it until years afterwards. iirc he made a few £k in interest as you only need to pay back the initial amount.

Sweet on Somalian dog races it goes. All I need to do is find a 5:1 sure bet.
