PS 4 USA or UK

I don't think there's any sense in buying the US version given the different voltage, lack of warranty and potential for compatibility issues in future. Doesn't justify the saving IMO.

I perfectly know what is the forum

so i just opened topic with only one simple question

i never had console as i am pc user and dont know about their voltage regulators

i just want it for my kids as a new year gift

i didnt ask anything else except one simple question

Is that perfect English? Well if it is then the Queen is my mum!

Nice attitude you have, a bit of research will have shown you that the PS4 hasn't been released yet. So not many people outside of Sony will have an answer for you. Wait until the reviews have started to appear.

Will you teach me English? Yours is so good and perfect.

I also like your theory on degrees of perfection too, it's an interesting concept that something so absolute as perfection works on a system of tiers.

No wonder you have a PhD.

ps4 is region lock on dvd/blu-rays, game will be generally region free except where the game developer has decided to region lock the game they are developing for whatever reason they want to.

if you buy usa ps4 you will need adapter to plug it into the uk main socket.
if you buy usa ps4 you can't play uk dvd or Blu-ray disc on it, also some digital content may be region lock so uk content may not work on usa console

The Xbox power bricks are designed for the voltage of the country/region they're sold in, and so are PS3 consoles. They'd say on the back if they accepted 120-240v, but everything I've seen so far is either 120v or 220-240v.

Xbox 360 PSUs are voltage specific but PS3 ones are not. I bought a PS3 in Canada a while ago and despite the console saying 110v on the label it is working absolutely fine hooked up to UK mains without a step down transformer. There's quite a bit of info on this if you Google around for it. Didn't stop me being nervous the first time I plugged it in though :)

No, not really, it's a fairly important point because if he pays duty and VAT on it the entire thing is pointless!

If they bring it back and dont declare its very very very unlikely they will get pulled, unless they look like drug smugglers. Due to the cuts I've rarely seen a customs officer even at the green lane last few times ive come back from the US.

His post implied it would be 'delivered' presumably by courier rather than brought in personally though customs, therefore my reply reflects what would happen if its sent by courier.
