New Computer (Gaming) £1900-2100

nope 1000w is way to much a 750-850 will be plenty :)

im running a 750w with my i5 760@4ghz and a overclocked 7990 (crossfire on one card)
and haswell is way lower in power consumption

IMO 850w is the sweet spot :)

Okay, so what about the new R9 290X they sound like wind blower :D

Does anyone here actually have it?
Also is the sound that bad like all those youtube vids show?

a stock 7990 uses 422w
a stock 780 uses 231w
a stock 290x uses 286w
these figures are taken from guru3d

as beasty says a 850w model will be fine (good one such as seasonic, corsair, etc) but if you intend to push them hard i would still want a bigger psu.

Yes sir i was thinking about going 3x R290X that's why i have picked the motherboard it does support 3x Crossfire and i think 1000-1200W PSU will be needed in future

Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:

AMD Radeon R9 290X - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550~600 Watt power supply unit.
AMD Radeon R9 290X Crossfire - On your average system the cards require you to have a 800 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

I see, thank you for the information sir.

I think this will have you covered on the main areas with plenty of cash left over for tweaking should you wish to. If you go with the H100i then I would recommend getting Corsair SP120's for it since they are much better than the stock fans.

Your monitor only does 1920x1080 so I went with just 1 video card albeit a very good one :), I tried to keep the red theme you seem to like to where possible, and you could have course buy coloured extension cables if needed since there is tons left from your budget.

Also I included a 2TB HDD for storage since you already have a SSD, with the amount you have left over you could buy a new mouse and keyboard and an OS if that is also needed (I wasn't sure so didn't include them).

Hmm this looks really good! I will need to think about it it's one of the options now definitely

thank you for the help!

no worries, byt like i say, if you want pure performance then X79 is the way to go, especially if you want more than two graphic cards.

do you do any video editing or rendering?

No sir that's why i want pure-gaming PC it will be only used for Gaming/Streaming :)

X79 is the best platform but very pricey, normally a gaming rig would be with a 4770K and Z87 mobo.

is £2100 your max budget?
IMO two cards is enough, especially if running 1080p single monitor (im running 1080p with my 7990)

so i would go with a 4770K and two 290x cards.
but if you want a pure number crunching gaming monster then the 4930K should not be ignored :)

Should I go with it?

I went over that 2100 point but it's well worth it!

It will destroy everything you throw at it and look good while doing it.

The h100i comes with thermal paste pre-applied, so you don't need to buy your own. £7 saved. Boom.

EDIT: I would certainly consider water cooling in the future, though.
