mega storms uk next week

Our back garden faces on to open fields, we have the tenancy to get gusts on normal days so I've just zip-tied the garden swing up and moved the outside furniture to safer place.

Hopefully the shed (at the end of the garden) stays put, I'm sure it will.

Strange things is - a lot of people would look at that and think that is the actual size of the UK in relation to the US/France/Spain etc.

Well my (paid for) radar data shows that it's about where looking out the window feels it should be - ie not very far away.

The peak wind speeds are currently forecast along the south coast, between Portsmouth and Hastings, for 6am Monday morning. Sustained winds of ~50 mph with gusts of 80 mph.
