mega storms uk next week

They're doing this because it's their only option in the face of mass media publicised weather, it's not like the network can cope with anything other than run-of-the-mill British weather. So this way, if the worst does happen and the network goes to hell in a hand basket they come off looking a lot better than they would if they hadn't sent the cancellations out and thousands of people turned up at stations tomorrow morning to find that nothing was running.

Case of damned if you do, and damned if you don't. If you want to blame anyone when all this blows over (pun deliciously intended), then blame the media for over reporting what will probably be a storm in a tea cup (I'm on a roll).

Unless of course we do get the "1 in 20", that's now become a "1 in 5". That'll probably become "a rather unpleasant start to the week".

Hmm, I was hoping to get some good footage of said storm but its dark if it does happen :(

Wonder if it will be chaotic tomorrow, only thing I will be able to take it dark footage with sounds of sheep flying past and some heavy rain

i would have liked to have wondered upto portland bill and feel the force of the said weather but maybe i would be blown out to sea and never spoken about again lol

Funnily enough I said that to my brother last night.

Ultimate test of your coconuts would be to stand on Pulpit rock in the height of the storm.

If you can do that, then you're free to shag my sister anytime.

Wind and rain is picking up some momentum

I just looked out of my window and saw a leaf going down the road with absolutely no lights on! It was being chased by what looked like a discarded packet of Monster Munch which also had absolutely no lights on! They must have been going 32MPH and this is in a 30MPH area! I think they might be boy racers or terrorists or something! Should I phone the Police or the Daily Mail?
