About to set off into the extreme weather down here in the South West, right in the heart of the 'Amber' weather warning zone. Any tips for driving in blazing sunshine on largely dry roads?

Drive through any puddles you can find to keep the tyre temperature down.

Well the route to work wasn't too bad on the A26, couple of partially blocked lanes here and there, plenty of debris on the road.

Helps it was half term as well, quicker journey than normal.

Ah I see.

For an underground rather a lot of it seems to be overground lol

Something like just half the Jubilee lines station are actually underground.

The underground is mostly underground zone 2 and inwards but most of lines run outside at some point.

I hope everyone gets to work safely in these storm conditions.

I actually had to put the wipers on for once. I feared for my life.

I live on a bit of the underground bits of the underground but even that's been affected this morning.
I think because of the fact that the trains have all been cancelled all the train commuters got on the tube further up the line
I tried going down to the tube station earlier and they were queuing out of the door with all the barriers stopping anyone else getting in.

I'm working from home for a bit at the moment before trying again to get to the office a bit later.

I swear there is a crisp packet lying unmoved from yesterday in the road outside my house!

I wish it would disrupt the trains today, so they call the football off tonight!(won't happen though)

Was mental coming in on my motorbike from Luton to London this morning at 6am. Wind was blowing me all over the place. Saw tree's having fallen down, Flooding in several locations, a few accidents and a plastic cow with no head having plowed into the front of a car. Fun times.
