Microsoft SideWinder X4 discontinued?

Hey guys,

Has the Microsoft SideWinder X4 been killed off? Was trying to pick one up for a friend, but is OOS here and is it's proving hard to find elsewhere too. If so any other reconsiderations for decently built KB under £30?

I've been wondering the same thing as I was hoping to pick one up for my birthday last week. Everywhere I've found that sell it is either OOS or have it at double the normal price
