780 GTX Price Drop + Free Games

I wasn't expecting this from the green side tbh, though that they will just offer us few games along the lines and will keep the price at their own standards, but I was pleasantly surprised :D

So glad I waited, sticking with the green. SLI here I come.

what sort of psu do you need for 780 sli?

i currently have a 5 year old 750 watt thermaltak tough power and im sure it wont be able to handle 780 sli. but hopefully i can get a better psu next year and another 780 the year after instead of upgrading to a new gfx card.

i think nVidia just wants to stop AMD selling their cards. getting a 780 gtx with 3 games cheaper than a 290x is crazy

I run mine off a Corsair 760w fine and dandy

well, I had an 850 Gold Seasonic but when I saw the power draw on a 780 classified overclocked I decided to get the 1250w to give me some headroom.

can you overclock them though?

I ran my 4670 @4.2 and budged the sliders up a bit in afterburner. It ran bf3 for about 2 hours and 1 or 2 benchmarks. It never blew up :)

I always run everything at stock tho, so other than the odd test to see what I can achieve overclocking isn't my thing. Never see the point in a 24/7 oc when 95% of the time I'm just browsing the web :)

More than happy with my 7990...but had to pop in and say...jolly good show from NVidia, the 290X shouldn't have a look in with the 780 @ £399.99...Physx + Free games + Quiet Effective Cooler...certainly a good deal to be honest.

Coolers looks weird on the Phantom, is it efficient and quiet? I can't see fans.

Fans are behind the grill, if you look closely you can see the 2 white circle fan centres.

Might be 3 fans actually with 1 in the centre, can't see that one as well though.
