Battlefield 4 Thread ~ Server details in opening post ~

Pc wiped and setup for bf4 (to avoid any issues!) + downloading bf4 now and opened the packs but when can we actually play cause i am getting a lot of different info?

For example my server provider told me that today my server is going up! (but according to https://help.ea.com/article/battlefield-4-worldwide-release-schedule we cant play till thursday @ midnight) which is weird because according too that europeans can play tommorow at midnight!


According too ea the uk/ireland are not part of the european union....

Battlefield 4 delivery date clarification:

Some customers seem to be worried about the delivery date for Battlefield 4, but rest assured the keys will be arriving in plenty of time, so that customers have enough time to pre-load the game so it is ready for playing at midnight release date.

Our company is bound to the EU release date for the game. Battlefield 4 Release date for Europe: 30th October 2013. We will receive our keys from our distributor on 28th October. Although we'll have all the keys in stock ready to send, we're bound to the EU release date by contract. This means that we are only allowed to release keys to customers 12 hours before the official release date of the game, so you will receive your key approximately mid-day on 29th October. This gives you over 12 hours to pre-load the game, ready for playing at the midnight release date.

EA have VERY strict release date laws, meaning we are not allowed to send keys earlier than this. If we did send them earlier, EA will BAN all of our keys for breaking the Street Date, so we hope our customers can understand that this is a very strict rule which we cannot override.

All of that said, it isn't actually a bad thing. Customers will not be disadvantaged, since all customers will receive the keys 12 hours before the official release date of the game, giving you plenty of time to pre-load ready for playing at the second of release. We understand customers like to receive keys as early as possible, but we cannot send before mid-day, 29th October. All key shops are bound to this rule. All customers will receive their keys on this date regardless of what region they are from. Enjoy!!

Bought from the MX Origin store (with premium) for £45, pre-load all ready, so in 30 minutes I just connect to the Korean VPN, restart origin and it will 'unlock the files'.

Does this mean I can disconnect from the VPN just as its unlocking the files and jump straight into online or do I have to be constantly connected to the VPN?

I don't know but I think you need to be on the VPN for the first game start up. After that I don't know for sure. You might be able to turn the VPN off and play the single player but you might need it on to play online for now.
