Not long until we find out then time to stick the kettle on.

Well it doesn't matter that much. I plan on starting with the single player anyway. Even if I do need the VPN it will just be for authorisation i.e. it shouldn't impact gameplay.

I'd imagine you need to insert your CD key for it to start the DL

Just put in a pre-order with OCUK.

Even with the pre-load I would still be waiting most of Friday for it to fully download. I just hope that it turns up on Friday as I have some time free in the afternoon.

I've read that Battlefield 4 will play better on Windows 8, in comparison to Windows 7, due to Windows 8 making full use of DirectX 11.1.

In the real world, is it going to make much difference at all?

That's a great idea.

One of the problems with the old Battlefield games was that there wasn't a way to fly without doing it in game, and people get really annoyed it you aren't a perfect pilot.

They was test's about showing Windows 8 having 50% better CPU performance over Windows 7.

I just did it, joined a game using the VPN, turned it off and it kicked me but i'm joining another game now and it seems to be working fine.
