hi i have a pc im fixing for a mate that keeps randomly blue screening i have replace the ram formatted it and and done a Hdd health check on it and it still dose it its a a AMD Athlon II x2 with 4Gig of ram

Do you know about the utility called Blue Screen View? If not, read up on it and try it. It might help with getting the exact error code and then you can search online with the code to see if others had the same issue and found a solution. I found it pretty useful when Lucid Virtu (as it turned out) was giving me blue screens.

Still happen when in safe mode? Would be a good indicator of a software problem if the issue is not present whilst running in safe mode.

Wouldn't formatting it fix the blue screen error if it was software? and if I remember it does blue screen if safe mode and some times keeps blue screening when it's starting up as well

Use only one stick of ram and try it in each of the slots in turn to see if the problem lies there.
Make sure the CPU is not overclocked in the BIOS and set all the default settings. Then check the BIOS is running the RAM at the right speed and voltage if not alter it manually.

Have you swapped out the GPU ?

Also try running the PC with the minimum possibly plugged into the PSU to make sure its not that.

Iv tried that with the ram and the cpu isn't overclocked. I can'. Change the ram volts or speed in fact I change much it's a pre built pc from pc world or somethin. Like that. The gpu is on board so can't swop it with anything and don't have one to put in it due to the psu in it!! But I'm starting to think the psu may be the problem or the ram! On and it's on Windows 7
