Couple days City break, ideas please

Hi,

The OH and myself are wanting to get away for my birthday next month, and were toying with the idea of a couple night stay somewhere in a city. But we cant quite decide on which place to go

so any ideas massively welcome, just a bit more info, we dont drive so rely on trains/buses and not something that'll break our banks, talking £250 ish in total for hotel (yes were skint, saving for house etc

)

Edinburgh, or Wales is handy for you. What about The Hardwick? Not far from you, and I've always wanted to go.....You'd only be able to afford one night on that budget though

York? If your missus likes sweet things, you could always have a tour around Fudge Kitchen and make your own fudge!
