im keeping my vamo and my other kayfun lite, i am at my wits end with the rest of them ive just given up. i cant get them to fire despite many attempts with the annoying screws. im going back to basics. on a positive note i dont regret trying them they were fun when they worked.

the vamo works first time with anything i screw into it, the same cant be said for the expensive stuff its so frustrating ive simply had enough i want em gone.

I'd made an order for a Kayfun 3.1 clone and a Nemesis clone from FT but it was all listed as not shipping for about two or three weeks, so I looked around for a couple of days deciding what to get in the UK instead... settled on a sigelei 13a and an Aga-T2.

I then decided that for £19 I would leave the Nemesis clone on the order and just cancel the Kayfun clone.

My Sig and Aga shipped today... so did my Nemesis! Should've known. Still, it'll be ages from FT anyway most likely.

Got a couple of Igos on the way too, one shipped a short while ago and one's with the Nemesis. My first mechanicals and RBA/RDAs. Exciting.

A question though - how reliable is the ohm meter on a Vamo? Should I really be investing in a proper ohm meter for rebuildables, or will it be ok?

the nemesis started out great and now i cant get it to fire no matter what i do it has just got me down unfortunately, the poldiac is a massive annoying piece of ****e as well.

It works fine, i often used to check the oHms on my Evic, but the Vamo always read the same.

Just walk away for a while, then come back? is it a genuine nemesis or a clone?

I'll take the Nemesis off your hands buddy - just give me til after Half term (or Hell Week) ends to sort funds out. You've got my email address :p

Vamo (v2) under reads resistance by 0.1 ohm in my experience (this is from all 4 v2 Vamo's I've compared to MultiMeter). It's pretty accurate and consistent and even when the thread's stripped and the top cap is looser than a Pompey Lass needing a fix, it's still a useful battery meter and coil resistance checker...

you have my sympathies scorch. I've been wrestling with my spheroid for the last few days. managed to get a "perfect" coil where it vaped like a train , decided to change juice so recoiled and it's not playing ball. vape equivalent of going from Marlboro red to silk cut. have tried about 5 attempts and still nadda.
good luck with your sale.

Vaping can also become a money pit but it depends if you want to make it into a hobby. If you have a device and setup which is consistent and easy to build then just walk away or you will forever be pumping money into Vaping and that's not even taking into consideration cost of buying juice. The kfl and vamo will serve you well. Remember we started Vaping to quit smoking which we've managed to accomplish. I guess we can get carried away too easily. Remember to keep a backup though.

What's wrong with the GP Paps? My is excellent, it fires first time, everytime. The connections do require a polish once in awhile or starts to feel a bit weak.

Real talk. Over at the Vapering forums everyone seems to be chasing the dragon. Each one with a promise of vaping nirvana mod, but more often than not it's no better than the cheaper alternatives.

My vaping mod journey has come to an end, as I'm happy with what I got and not looking to change.

KayFun Lite with a mechanical mod (GP Paps) and VW mod (ProVari). Don't think there is anything that's going to beat that for reliability and performance.

you took the words right out of my mouth. a polish/scratch on the brass bits makes the world of difference and like you I'm scaling down to a kfl/paps & kfl/provari setup (one for out and about the other for home).

I've tried enough mods & atties now to realise that for consistency and ease of use the kfl takes the crown.

and they will be chasing new mods forever, which tbh the only difference will be in aesthetics, switches or power delivery. I've not been vaping long (under a year) but atomizers very rarely offer a better vape. Take a dripper for example, simple yet is probably the best way to get a consistent, flavoursome way to delivery your nicotine hit.

I'll still be purchasing new things for a few more months after which I'll be calling it a day too and flogging what doesn't suit me.

P.S Scorch is the Spheroid a V2? PM me how much you're thinking of selling it for. ;)

Can anyone recomended me a kit as i'm totaly clueless with all of this. I currenty go through 1 x 50g of Golden Virginia every 2 weeks so not that expensive but would like to change more for health reasons than anything else.

Thanks. :)

I want to list a whole load of stuff that will probably put you off, so I'll try and keep it simple :D

*eGo style batteries (at least two)
*Charger x 2 (one wall socket, one USB works well for me)
*EVOD/CE5/CE4 atomisers and a few spare heads (in order of which I think are best)
*Some eliquid 12-18mg - this is a tough one because everyone has different tastes

There is a 1001 (and more) other bits and bobs which are better, but for just dipping your toes I reckon these are a good start. On the phone at the mo so linking tricky, sure others will pip in

A budget you have in mind always helps!

Definitely - http://myepack.co.uk/kits/evod-starter-kit.html

£29 for 2 EVOD clearos, 2 batteries, and a charger that's a USB one with a mains plug.

Just need juice and that's it. I've got better stuff since (more is at home waiting for me having been delivered today) but I think I will always have the EVOD because they're easy and they're cheap and they work great and they're small.

Currently still using it for work/out and probably will continue to use it for that.
