Hi Folks

First of all I would like to make clear I am no way affiliated with Ashampoo, but thought this was too good not to share!! Ashampoo are celebrating their 14th Birthday and are currently selling Ashampoo burning Studio 12 for £7.00 until 31/10/13. You can grab a free trial if you have never used it before. I'd be really interested to see a revenue chart over the last 10 years or so for CD burning software. I imagine it must bring in next to no money these days.

I had that version and you cannot disable the 'service channel' pop up's that appear almost every time you open the program.

It's been a while since I downloaded it, forgot about that. I had no idea so much software is bundled with it these days:

I must Ashampoo are very good. I don't burn a lot of discs and end up just using the free trail versions. Might get it if it's still available. Thanks for the heads up op.

That's OpenCandy (or something copying OpenCandy)

It's nothing too sinister, just irritating usually.

When I ran a software with OpenCandy in it, it created a number of DLL files in a temp directory that Malaware had to block. I had not even gone as to click next on the installer or installed anything that dll file still appeared.

That was with another app related to burning
