I've just put together a 4770k build, and I've decided not to try and squeeze a custom watercooling loop inside the case (Bitfenix Phenom).

I'm a little behind on which are the best Air coolers out there, or even AIO water coolers.

Can someone point me in the right direction? If the AIO's are the best, can someone point me to one with a low FPI rad/good for low noise?

The CPU cooler would also need to clear the ram (corsair Vengance pro) so I can't use the NH-D14 I believe..

Thanks

the phenom can hold a 160mm cooler.

the best air coolers from my understanding are the D14 as you mentioned.

or you could go down the H100/H100i route in the top of the case (depending on GPU config)

or if going the 120mm route (H50/H55/H60/H80 etc) then one would fit in the front of the case.

as far as im aware the H100/H100i's out perform the top air coolers. and then the top air coolers out perform the 120mm rad AIO's.

Cooler height is not a problem for Prodigy cases.
Pretty sure Bitfenix Prodigy M has 180mm CPU clearance.
And Bitfenix Prodigy has 175mm CPU clearance.

Cooler width will depend on motherboard and where the CPU socket is placed. Some are quite close to PCI slots.
