Ebay is good for common chemicals like hydrochloric/sulphuric acid and sodium hydroxide etc. they also do some good deals on glassware kits and you can get good digital ceramic hotplates/magnetic stirrers 2nd hand for huge discounts, for common solvents like chloroform and ether there are loads of reagent suppliers you can order from.
