US: The Walking Dead Season 4 (contains spoilers)

good news, despite the fact it gets a little boring every now and then its still a great show...

They need to build up these characters for a season or 2 and then have them eaten alive:)

I love it, id love the real world to end up like this before I die too :D

I think its the right sort of pace tbh, if this really happened any group going gung-ho 24/7 - 365 wouldnt last that long. However the one thing I miss is the wider aspect of it all, but I suppose that is all you get by following a small group in a small area of the US.

The first season I enjoyed the big city aspect, the finding of that medical place that blew up etc - made it feel more global, rather than the localised aspect now.

I mean whats New York like, just one big zombie fest - OR are there areas of army there etc. The Whitehouse, would that have fallen.... have some areas managed to contain the zombies.... do the Zombies surives in places like Alaska.. stuff like that.

everyone is a zombie, it's just a matter of time, either natrual death, sickness or bite
So all kinds of places, no matter how secure would eventually be turned, I just hate the silly little things in this show.

No way on earth that fence would be left like that if this was "real" at the very least the inner fence would be fortified. I guess it gives hope to all those people who have no common sense at all that they will survive in a zombie outbreak.

Have to say the second episode wasnt too bad but i really got annoyed with the woman and those 2 girls making the decision to kill their father after he had been bitten. Then the eldest one breaking down into a complete mess afterwards. Didnt think it was needed in all honesty and kinda ruined the episode for me.

As for the fence??, surely they must have seen that coming and they could have strengthened it somewhat. As for the big black guy, after what he saw at the end of the episode, wouldnt be surprised if he goes nuts and starts killing people.

Much improved I have to say, really enjoyed this episode!

Good things:

Zombie Horde -That right there is going to be epic, I hope it shows how they get past it.

Carol - Good character development, shows she's willing to do the hard things to protect the group / kids.

Tyreese - Having his mental breakdown and going insane was great, shows good character development and i'm glad he's getting more time on the screen! However, not happy with part of it if i'm picky, see below :)

Rick - Really liking how his character is evolving and how the strain of past events is taking its toll on him. He looks a mess and if it wasn't for Carl / Judith he wouldn't be alive. His kids are holding him together.

Bad things:

Car getting stuck - Should have seen something like this happening because they made a big deal to say "it's the fastest car we have". They sacrificed manoeuvrability over speed. However, the writers should have picked a car crash, or a puncture rather than the car piling up on zombies.

Tyreese - How did he escape!?! This has been my issue from the start, they go into a room with 20 zombies falling from the ceiling, freak and turn into idiots. Then there are thousands, Tyreese is completely surrounded (similar to the Governor last season I believe?), and is seen being dragged down. He is completely covered by zombies and he walks out unharmed after some serious hammer killing. It'd never happen, he would have been bit. If the writers could get the scale of zombies to panic right, this show would be higher up in my favourites list!

I'm being ultra picky, but it is so close to being a fantastic show, the inconsistency is stopping it from being truly great in my opinion!

Overall a really good episode, and I can't wait until next weeks now!

Carol killing those 2 made no sense, since they were already locked up and everyone else had already been exposed anyway. It wasn't like they were the sole carriers.

The car getting stuck was rubbish. They would have seen those zombies from far away. There were 4 of them in the car and it was a straight open road. And Darryl just slowly driving closer was dumb.

Tyreese being surrounded reminded me of a Batman fight. Instead of just biting him like they usually do, they each waited their turn for him to smash their head. In the same scenario with other people, a zombie usually just bites them from behind and they all just fall on them and rip them apart.

I'm almost at the end of my tether with this show now. Season 1 has yet to be surpassed, Season 2 had about three interesting episodes in it, Season 3 was only made bearable by The Governor and the return of Merle, and Andrea did her best to try and balls that up for me anyway. I've only watched episodes one and two of Season 4 so far and it just seems like it's going to be the same old **** from S2 and S3.

Are we really supposed to care anything for the minor characters who are introduced purely so they can be killed off less than an hour later? Also the mind numbing stupidity of the characters and the massive inconsistencies in the behaviour of the Walkers depending on which character they're going after just makes me want to rage.

Take episode two for example, when the gates were opened Michonne just decides to slow down, then stop, then wait for what seemed like an eternity for no real reason whatsoever. These things are probably the slowest moving creatures that are still "alive", yet several manage to catch up and attack her, how bout using the big ass katana you have there? Oh no that would be far too logical for our brain dead characters.

Also, am I the only one who thinks it's about time Rick took the tampon out? Shane was a much better character in my opinion. Forgot to mention how the Walkers seem to basically explode when trod on, or hit with something or even if they fall a few feet. That Walker in the store who fell from about ten feet and just exploded into a big gooey mess... Pathetic.

Daryl fired off several arrows in the car escape sequence. I bet his still has his full set next episode...

I'm liking this so far, though I feel it really only has a season or two left in it.

I do wish they would introduce and build up more good strong characters, at the moment it does seem they are only introducing characters to kill them off straight away.

I do like the feeling that main characters aren't safe, but Rick needs to be built up as dispensable (just like the others), by creating/building up a new character that could take over from him, for example Tyreese, who does in the comics. Whether they then kill him off or not remains to be decided.

And K1llsw1tch, if you dislike it that much, why are you still watching it?

If everyone made perfect decisions then there wouldn't be a zombie apocalypse in the first place :p

Well yeah, but I mean there are mistakes such as accidentally releasing the virus, and there's downright retardation such as stopping and standing still while you wait for several Walkers to catch up to you for no good reason. :p

In the hope that it becomes as good as it used to be, or that the next episode I see will actually be enjoyable instead of facepalm moments.
