Seems to get bigger every year, loads of houses near mine have been decorated. It's nice for the kids if they have a nice safe route but it's used as an excuse for anti social behavior which is wrong.
As for 'adults', none of my mates go out clubbing or partying dressed up...except female friends and my girlfriend! Think girls just enjoy dressing up in overly slutty outfits for the night.
I hate the way halloween has become a bigger event than Bonfire Night in the UK. November the 5th is an important date in the history of the UK and should be celebrated as a reminder of the triumph of democracy over tyranny.
Oh and another thing that really grinds my gears is when people refer to halloween as a "holiday", it's not a holiday ffs.
I bought a load of cheap packs of sweets last week.
Unfortunately, due to my weak will and the fact that I rarely ever buy sweets, I ate most of them myself, and now I only have three packets left
If I get more than three "customers" then I'll have to start giving out change I guess!
edit - never went trick or treating myself (Mum wouldn't let us when we were kids, said it was too risky and too much like begging), but I don't mind it really. Let the local kids have a bit of fun dressing up and getting sweets.
