Had some fantastic games today with the crew here. When the servers are not lagging this game is totally epic.

I also think Zavod is becoming my favourite map :eek:

I agree, had some great rounds today and server quality has seemed spot on. Definitely don't agree about Zavod :p

Was about to type "well I'll finally get to see for myself after work tonight" but just remembered. It's my housewarming tonight. I think if I disappear for 4-5 hours of online murder, SWMBO will exact a terrible revenge. Bum biscuits.
 
Most of the crashes I have had, has resulted in an windows 7 AERO disable/enable error message after bf4 closes. This leads me to think its the windows 7 aero causing it crash, but could be wrong. I know certain games disable aero when you launch it, but bf4 does not do that. I realy don't want to move to windows 8 but may be forced :(

havent played on all the maps but im loving dawnbreaker atm its the one map i can do okay on.

Just a quick noobie questions im using realmware to adjust my settings instead of sitting in a game and changing them and came across FOV its currently set at vertical 70 horizontal 102 if i up the vertical to 70 will that basically make things seem bigger? or am i thinking about this all wrong??
 
Awesome 3 games 3 crashes near end of the rounds = no unlocks and rank 0 still ,turned it off getting on my nipples already clearly it wasn't ready for release :/
 
I use a fov of 80. Fov is field of view. It makes you see things at the side more.

I don't think it was ready for release either, another 3 months would not have hurt.

There is some major big problems with the game.

The single player is also very very buggy. You can just run past most of the single player.

Disable desktop composition on origin.exe basically turns aero off soon as you start origin might help :o
 
So is there a big difference between performance in windows 7 and 8 ? I hate hate hate windows 8 UI but if it offers a significant boost in frames im listening...

Win 8.1 is what you want, UI is much better and it's easier to navigate. So much faster to use than 7.

And FYI I hated windows 8 it felt wrong. 8.1 though it's a cracking OS

Performance wise I think it's nip and tuck although things feel smother to me in 8.1 but I can't comment directly re BF4 as I only played it in win 8.1

Nice montage forgot i still had my speakers turned on nearly flew out my seat when the music started:p im staying away from the helis and jets had a go in a jet 1..2..CRASH so weird using a mouse guess its just another learning curve

thanks i knew what it meant but wasn't entirely sure how it effects the screen like i said noobie question:p
 
dear god Golmud Railway must be one of the least thought about maps ever created, there is nothing in it. Its just a giant field of boredom!
