When selling things on eBay I always say UK only in the description and in the postage details section. However someone from Germany has asked if they can bid & said they'd be happy to pay the postage.

I have checked their profile, they have 100% positive feedback (399) and been a member since 2002. I also have in the description that it is paypal only & he said he will pay by paypal as soon as auction ends if I let him bid & if he wins.

Should I say ok?
I have checked parcel2go.com and got the following quotes:

Do you send things abroad?
I never have so I am a little worried things could go wrong and leave me out of pocket.

You can go out of pocket using royal mail just posting to a guy 1km down the road in theory ....

As long as its legal to ship, covered by insurance just do it.

i would 100% use one of the mega couriers though like DHL, dont cut any corners on packing obv.

Why?

I send things all over the world. Beirut, Lebanon was my personal favourite.

Sending to Germany isn't really any different than sending to the UK.

Is there anything I need to know or be aware of?
Do those economy rates on parcel2go look ok?

has he got much recent feedback?

399 - 100% positive

I'm tempted to, just nervous because I have never sent things abroad before.

I've used Royalmail Airsure several times and never had any problems. Quite pricey but if the buyer is willing to make up the difference then you won't be left out of pocket.
