Reqest: Can someone with a 290X run the Crysis 1 benchmark maxed out?

Crysis needs still brute force on 2 cores to run. No matter if you have 10 cores or 2 cores. As long as they are clocked 5Ghz+

And use 64bit version and the Crysis Expanded mod.

This is a single 7950 at 1150Mhz core....

I did not change anything in CCC

Dude you're ruining your games!!!

Go into CCC and set Anti-Aliasing Method to 'Adaptive'

No one seems to run with that turned on, it's scary!!

That will force transparency super sample anti-aliasing on all transparent objects like chain links fences, grass, tree's.... You get the point.

Performance cost is next to nothing too.

The difference it makes to Crysis 1 is unreal.... Go ahead and try it :D

Overclocking or CF make very little difference @1080p, it is only when the resolution is turned up to 1600p that CF or overclocking are worthwhile.

The game is so CPU limited!! AMD cards don't support 16xAA though which is why the frame rates are the same as x8 :p

What CPU you have? Do you have the AF set to nothing from CCC?

Because with the FX8350@5Ghz on a single 7950 at 1150mhz, with
Filter Standard, Adaptive multisampling, AF 16x,Texture Filtering on High Quality and vsync off I get this.

(maybe is the Enhanced mod?)

Only if I activate the second 7950 I go higher.

Do you still have those Titans spare then now :P

That's because you're CPU limited...

I had AF set to x16 and the mod that allows AF+POM to work at the same time

How's possible to be CPU limited with an FX8350 at 5Ghz?

We talk here 30% difference, and even if you got a 3970X @4.8 like Kaapstad you need better graphic card than a single 7950.

You do run a 2 7950 MSI twin frozr setup with a 2600K, are you sure you turned one 7950 off?

Because your cores are way slower per clock, and it's only using 2 cores.

I don't know what CPU Almighty is using, but if it's a Sandy against your FX8350, there's probably over 30% difference in IPC.

That was run before I went crossfire..... And it was with a 2500k clocked at 4.6Ghz.

Your cores are just a lot slower then mine, to match my 2500k's per core performance you would have to clock your FX north of 6Ghz.
