Hi, just after a bit of help please.

Just purchased a Asus Z87 MAXIMUS VI FORMULA motherboard, and I cant seem to get the USB 3.0 port working on the front of my Cooler Master case.

I have plugged the USB 3.0 port from the front of the case into the motherboard, and I can charge my Samsung Note 3 from it. Just my computer doesn't recognise the device at all.

There are no problem with any of the hardware in Device Manager either.

I do have a cable that came with my case that looks like it plugs into the motherboard and goes out the back of the case into two usb slots. But there is no place for it on the board for it to go into???

Any ideas?

Thanks very much for your help

We initially assumed Cooler Master must have thought that three is better than two, but it's been pointed out that the third is of course to route the USB 3 cable from the front panel to the I/O panel as no motherboard currently has USB 3 headers.

I have just plugged my phone in and under Devices and Printers, shows as Android Phone.

Yeah this is odd. I thought the Samsung Note was USB 3.0.

My motherboard did have a usb 3.0 header by the way, USB drive works fine.

So it just seems that it is my phone that is not recognised in the usb 3.0 slots.
