I have the Full monty 36

Just got off the phone to CS at t-mobile who say that I am "confusesd"

Their terms and conditions contradict each other. One paragrah clearly says that I can use tethering, and another says I cant. How can those terms and conditions be acceptable?? how can that first paragragh not include my full monty plan? It describes it fully as any plan with unlimited data. I have a plan with unlimited data.

Why shouldn't I be able to use my unlimited data plan in the way that that T+Cs say that I can use ANY unlimited data plan?

Any plan with an unlimited data allowance gives you unlimited use of internet on your phone when you're in the UK. This means you can use as many MB/GB as you like and no fair use policy will apply. Please note, internet on your phone includes using your phone as a modem (tethering) but network traffic controls apply

How would any of you read/understand that first paragrah?

and then

Our Full Monty plans will give you unlimited use of our internet on your phone service when you're in the UK. This means you can use as many MB/GB as you like and no fair use policy will apply. Please note, internet on your phone excludes using your phone as a modem (tethering) and network traffic controls apply

T+Cs

I'd say the latter comment applies as it's more specific to the 'Full Monty' plan, agreed that it's ridiculous and contradictory though.

Looking more closely at the wording:

unlimited data allowance

unlimited use of our internet on your phone

The Full Monty doesn't offer 'unlimited data allowance' just 'unlimited use of their internet on your phone'.

looking at the shop - plans part of the t-mobile site, it sells my tariff as data: unlimited. This is what I bought. So this plan has unlimited data and ANY plan with unlimited data can tether.

Looking at the T & C's , Full monty have their own Terms as from the link you provided the other Terms apply to 24 month non full monty plans/ 18 months non full monty plans (I assume). That's fairly clear at least for me that Tethering is not part of the plan.

yes but what does that mean for the part that says ANY plan with unlimited data. Why can't I take that as true? It is not true it seems. That statement is either correct or incorrect (not moaning at you btw)

Before full-monty came into effect (and even a few months after it was launched) Tmobile did some loyalty deals and some new connections with "unlimited" data/ unlimited data booster, The first para I presume applies to those contracts.

They should make it clearer tbh on T&C's but their argument might be 'You are on full monty, Full monty terms apply to you' had they not mentioned seperate Full monty terms I would have thought that you had a case not in this case imo.

T-Mobile Pay Monthly Plans from 30 October 2013
To join, you'll need to pass our standard credit checks and promise to stay with us for 24 months. All services are within the UK only. Your monthly payment is for your internet on your phone, your WiFi allowance (for plans with 500 minutes or more) and your inclusive minutes and texts.

Your inclusive minutes and texts are to other customers of UK mobile networks, to check your voicemail and to call landlines starting with 01, 02 and 03 (excluding the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man).

Any plan with an unlimited data allowance gives you unlimited use of internet on your phone when you're in the UK. This means you can use as many MB/GB as you like and no fair use policy will apply. I get that bit :) just saying that the full Monty terms state diffent. Looking at the full monty page it clearly says "2000 minutes to any networks,
unlimited texts and data on your phone with The Full Monty" Link

And after you select a plan and a phone it says unlimited data on the phone :p
Just a random deal I selected: Link

It is misleading but I think they have sort of covered their tracks.

the full monty terms do look different but I still have 'any' plan that includes unlimited data.

we get unlimited data on our phones. But why would that include tethering? clicking 'what's included' tells you that tethering is excluded.

I dont know, i just thought it was pretty clear cut when i chose full monty.

Ya I agree. Hence implied unlimited data on your phone i.e no tethering.
