WD has updated its "Black" drives with 5 new models. 500GB, 1TB, 2TB, 3TB and a Huge 4TB. All drives claim to be the fasted in the market for their size and I dont think WD are wrong. They are simply FANTASTIC!

Green = energy efficient

Green is like an "Eco storage drive".
Blue is essentially an "fast but value" type drive.
Red is essentially an Green drive but with features built in from the enterprise RE range which is why it is so good for NAS.
Black is essentially an full fat RE drive with the odd feature lopped off. They are the fastest drives WD make outside of enterprise as a Raptor essentially is an enterprise class solution.

I've found in Order History such order, for 2x Samsung F3 - I paid for two of them less than NOW one WD Black is worth. They work since then in my RAID-0 flawlessly. Faster & cheaper. Thanks overclockers
