This sounds even more worrying for XB1 considering they had Microsoft engineers helping them out and they still couldn't hit anything above 720p while maintaining their desired 60FPS.
He also suggests future Xbox One Call of Duty games may not suffer a similar resolution issue, as developers further optimise the COD engine and Microsoft - potentially - tweaks the Xbox One's OS reserved memory allocation.
that article is actually very positive sounding for the xbox. obviously you've quoted a couple of select parts that fit your agenda.
Looks like the campaign is 4 hours long? Pretty bad IMO. I know people buy it for the MP mainly, but 4 hours is just weak.

Be warned the site has annoying audible adverts.
I dunno why Im paying so much money for a new console. all the games look crap on both systems.
They had MS engineers the whole time helping them out and still they struggled. This make it seem the issue is much less about esram and more to do with overbloated software and a lack of hardware power in general.
Lol COD looks like crap because it's a crap last gen game running on a 13 year old engine and designed for casual 15 year olds, it has nothing to do with either of the next gen consoles.
and what about the rest of the games?
Killzone and Dead Rising 3 are the only release games that look really next gen to me. Killzone because it looks stunning, and DR3 because I know there is no way any current gen console could render so many zombies at once in a completely streaming, load-free world.

Edit: Not to say that other games don't look good, but they're the two stand outs for me.
Yup, just compare some of the launch games on either 360 and PS3 to some of the games at the end of the gen, like TLoU and GTA V. You'd think they were running on different hardware.I agree, I think people expect too much from launch games of a new generation.
2014 is when we start to see lots of games coming through that are REALLY next gen.
I could be wrong, but I thought with the PS4 version of this plan, you had to keep the PS3 disc so it could verify you still had the game. I might be talking out of my backside though, so let someone else confirm/deny that.Is anyone doing the buy on current gen, upgrade for 10 quid on next gen? I am not sure on the details of it, can you then trade in your current gen game after receiving your digital copy?
