Given the current coverage around fuel companies recently I was wondering what other peoples yearly consumption is like.

I recently purchased a smart meter and some of the results are interesting to say the least.
Currently thinking about getting rid of economy 7 in favour of a flat rate tariff.

Medium size house 2 people working, last year we used around 7900kwh of electricity £1,163 cost.
Devices left on 24/7 are full height fridge freezer, small freezer and my esxi server.
THe meter read 0.470kwh with just those running.

Curious as to what other are paying??

I think we use about 6000kWh of electricity and 1200kWh of gas. We're with nPower and even with their new rates (+8%) they're still cheaper than everyone but Spark, and they were only £30 cheaper a year so hardly worth changing.

That's a two bed top floor flat with two occupants working full-time, gas central heating.

I use around 6000kwh of electricity per year down from about 8500kwh after I went on an energy saving kick about six months ago and around 17000kwh of gas per year, 3 bed mid terrace with wife home all day.

Cheers for the input all, just worked it out and we only use 10% of our electricity at night so it's definitely time to come off of economy 7!

Just swapped to Marks & Spencers from EON saving me a whopping £6 a month. Was paying roughly £100 a month before, now £94 /flex, but it is frozen until next year so I'm delaying the current round of price hikes at least.

Give your gas a flintlock pistol then another to your electric, they take 10 paces back to back, turn and shoot, the one who kills the other wins ;)
