Another spec me thread - 42" TV

Hey all,

I usually don't delve into this neck of the wood of electronics very often but I'm looking to get a 42" TV for my room & also for early next year when I move house.

I'm a bit out of touch when it comes to TV's but I know that it must have Wi-Fi and internet so I can access YouTube, other film sites and possibly some on demand channels if possible, so I would most likely need a Smart TV if I am not mistaken?

I've been reading up on some reviews but I have kind of narrowed it down that it would be best to stick with either a Sony, Samsung or Panasonic but I really cannot decide which is best! My budget at the moment is £500.

Sorry to bump up the thread guys! I've got my eyes set on a Samsung UE42F5500, do any of you own this TV and what do you think of it?

I would personally get a 42" Samsung F5000 for £389 as it has a better panel than the F5500.
Then for your Smart functions a Roku LT media streamer for £40, which has over 300 channels to add.
