A Storage unit, those places make a fortune and they require very little in the way of staff. I run a man with a van service and I am always in and out of these units and I have never been in one yet that is not at least 80% full.
If you had the money to start a business what would it be ??

You're right. They have a high setup cost as you need the land, units and security. After that though, it's just upkeep, insurance small staff etc. I expect you'd not hit profit for a few years, but after that it would be al gravy!

I would make a bar/lounge/coffee shop that sells cannabis like the dutch style coffee shops (after it is made legal of course). But have strict rights of admission reserved and only allow people in who I approve.

I'd do one or a few of the following if money was no object and I didn't need to earn a living:
- Open a car garage, and just make enough money to pay my staff well, keep the garage running and have it as a non-profit organisation. The amount of times i've been ripped off by a garage is unreal. I see this as a service to the community
- Purchase derelict factories / warehouses in town centres, demolish them and build parks on the location. Charge a small fee (£1 or £2 per person) for park costs. I hate driving through a town centre and seeing buildings falling down!
- Purchase houses, rent them out to good families at affordable prices to cover costs. Would require an intensive selection process to ensure the family "deserves" the cheap accommodation.
If I had to make my salary with a business i'd do one of the following:
- I second the vote for the BBQ restaurant, excellent idea!
- Another restaurant of some kind. Live entertainment while you eat though.
- Property rennovation.
- Sell meth.
- Purchase warehouse. Convert it into an indoor forest. Indoor paintball ... or ...
- Some sort of paintball / go-karting combination. Patent pending or ...
- Medieval paintball. Instead of guns, you get shields and swords. When the sword hits you, it covers you in paint. Again ... patent pending.

I live in an area where the best bourbon gets mixed with the best BBQ (pulled pork) and I have to agree, the UK misses out on these things!! Amazing food!
