In respect to the tanking , in general you have to get on burn as soon as possible or I'll just get out and start the burn myself until its clear. But I like to watch your back and check which way your barrel is pointing and then watch the other way spamming the spot key. We did get c4'd once on zavod though , its horrible watching that sniper running off with a skip in his step :mad:

And yup, it is MUCH better when you have a good gunner that watches the opposite way especially since I can't shoot any one behind me (due to height difference) and even more so when the gunner is an engi. so lots or repairs! :D Even though I still tend to drive of every now and then :p

Yeah I think that was last night, the round/server where I got banned. Tell me about it! :mad: And people with c4 are even more deadly now as you can throw the c4 quite a bit further i.e. bc 2 style!

last night i was having quite a few issues where it would get to "connecting" and hang for about 30 secs then just close the game giving some rubbish error :( only on some servers though.... just so happened to be on 4 servers in a row a friend joined and I was trying to join off them xD

nope today's problem is some sort of BF4 sound and screen lockup requiring a task manager shutdown of the game.

Ps. for those of you who might not know this, as a medic you can power up your paddles - the longer you power up the more health the player revive's with ;)

Yeah I will try to give it a shot a few more times :) One thing I like about rush, games don't take as long to finish (can't stand these servers were you have 1000+ tickets......), get more points and more linear.

The map I joined was paracel storm, the first set of coms and I just spawned and see how much cover the defenders had and then seen the boat just raping everything in sight so thought "**** this!" :p

Yeah, Paracel Storm is one of those maps where the attackers have it very diffucult. Lancang Dam and Hainan Resort are similar. Still, I think many of the problems I am having as an attacker come from inexperienced players. Once they improve, rush on the whole will be better. Right now I like Zavod 311 and Flood Zone as Rush maps.

You can't, if you read the TOS you pay £95 for the right to play it, and you don't own your copy, EA does...
 
I have been sniping a lot recently as I have my suspicions that they will nerf the thermal binos, like they nerfed the thermal IR scope on BF3 about a day after I unlocked it....

I shot this guy who was on a rooftop earlier whilst sprinting with my m40, it was an epic shot and I got the mist of death blood animation and everything...except the hit didn't register and he lived! But had some epic sniper moments like killing a sniper and then his medic and then the medic who tried to revive the medic, bang bang bang three guys dead asking for me to be banned for "hacking" lol!

I have also seen some wierd gameplay by people who manage to kill you when you are in a place you can't be killed, or flying a heli all the way up and he kills you with a pistol etc, then you press TAB and he has 70 kills and 13 deaths and the 2nd highest player has 20 kills..there can't be hacks out for BF4 already surely? If not, how can one guy be that good?

I am going to play some rush games later tonight with wes' and anyone else who jumps on so will report back in a bit more detail :) Of course that is assuming "if" the game will run well for me.......

I presume 32/40 will be the best amount of players for rush mode?

The one thing that is guaranteed to always happen especially with bc 2 was that the attackers end up being the ones "defending" hence the defending team then "attack" and fortify the front line and once that is done you really need an excellent team using smoke etc. to try and get through (or use a heli if the map has one)

I can't say for sure. Due to the many issues I am only playing 32 man servers in general.

Yeah, I know. On the other hand: A well fortified forward defending team often doesn't have many players near the mcoms so if you can sneak past them with a squad you have a good chance at taking out at least one mcom.

There was a tank on Zavod spamming my team, I targeted him and got the missile launched and literally just before it landed on him the game froze.

I have been playing Planetside 2 for a year now and we all know how bad that was at crashing but this one really takes the cake, it is a guaranteed crash every single round and no word from those monkeys at DICE that they are working on a fix. Now I really appreciate what the PS2 devs give in terms of communication to the community.

The problem I find with BF4 rush is that most of the maps require vehicles else the balance just goes heavily one sided. Far too much open terrain to cover as infantry and because of the number of vehicles I find Rush terrible now. Mostly been playing Conquest and Domination as infantry only.

Oh and don't get me started on client side tree detection

i was getting a few crashes and such reinstalled the game totally cleared anything to do with it checked on pc.

deleted pb all traces of it reinstalled again. latest driver for gpu

direct x make sure upto date. also in the bf folder goto _staller/vc/vc2012update/redist/ redo both of those vcredlist_64 and vcredlist_86

also check for sound driver updates and windows updates
