How do you guys stress test your GPU's for stability?

Seriously now, I'm currently at 1225Mhz on my 7950 and have been running Heaven 4.0 maxed out with 8xAA for 20 mins now on a loop and no artifacts or lock ups.

How does everyone else do it?

Load changes cause most crashes/artifacts. Use benchmarks to get mostly stable and acceptable temps. Gaming is the only way to vary load enough to uncover issues.

Mainly games, though ill give various benchmarks a quick blast, but ive often found that bench stable clocks can fall over in games pretty quickly. I avoid furmark theese days as the load it places is unrealistically high.

I bench with things like 3DMark/Heaven and then post the scores and then go and see how those clocks get on in games :)

I just play games, if it doesn't crash then that's good enough for me.

Mine was kinda opposite, ran fine on Heaven and then crashed on TOmb Raider so I dialed it back a bit.

I usually run Heaven on the Basic preset @ 1920x1080 and fullscreened. It seems to be more difficult to pass than the Extreme preset I've found. Makes my card run hotter too.

You have not seen what Heaven 4 on extreme settings @1600p does to GPUs.:D

Only use games to test for stability,

Like others I've found that while the usual benchmarks wouldn't show up anything, a quick test on something like bf3 or crysis 3 would and represents a far better gauge as to what's stable and what's not, especially if the primary use is gaming.

Furmark I leave well alone.

For me one run of heaven 3.0 and 3Dmark Mainly just for comparison of scores.
My main test is gaming, the number one give away for bad overclock is display stopped responding error.
