Are you for or against foriegn aid

Some cretins of gigantic proportions in this thread.

Yes, we should give foreign aid.

There are also some slimey people who like to sit at the back and throw down snidey comments. I saw you quote me a few times before on another thread with blank replies, frowns and trying to grab my attention all while i continued to ignore you and the dullard responses. Why not just reveal who you are calling a cretin or state a better view as to why you support foreign aid. I suspect more than one paragraph might be beyond you though. We would not want to see you break endless crayons with the drafts.

for some of it

though WTF are we giving India money for - they've got a space program and have just launched a mars mission... yet the UK gives them millions in aid????

edit- I realise its targeted but tbh... they're a fast growing nation with a lot of highly skilled graduates, lots of resources they can manage their own affairs

Of course we should give Aid but the problem is it goes to the wrong people and lines of pockets of big multi-nations and corrupt politicians (on both sides). Giving food aid to India is not issue for me help starving people and the truth is that the funding for this is coming mainly from private investors. Good on them for developing the technology to do this. I'm sure Boris or whoever will be queuing up for business/military/technology contracts...

It was actually this post that disgusted me. It was nothing to do with you.

Against. I don't care about people I don't know and with whom I don't identify.

Against.

I'm no UKIP Nazii or anything by far but i feel we have enough social and domestic problems of our own which the money could be more wisely spent to address

+1

These cowardly attempts at superiority really **** me off and I've had a go at every numpty I see doing it.

no quote = no balls, so just GTFO

edit:
just seen a quote, that's better :)

Re: India comments
I've not really got a problem with aid to India, in some parts they are actually just as malnurished as Africa but are clearly quite capable of developing (unlike Africa which will remain a pointless gaping maw for the next 60 years)
A successful space program means satellites which are essential given the size of the country and extent of agricultural issues, they would be stupid not to develop this technology.

There is animosity between India and Pakistan, and as Pakistan is as about as trustworthy as a bag of lawyers standing for Parliament then any good relations between the UK and India is a "good thing".

Pretty much summarises my feelings.

Sort our own problems and economic turmoil first, then look to help others.
