Where should I go in Ireland at the end of the month? Need to get out of London for a little while and wanna spend a long weekend away somewhere I can just do nothing near some hills and whatnot.

Don't want to go to Dublin, can't be arsed with that right now, or any other city for that matter.

Any recommendations? Ideally don't wanna go over 350 quid or so all in for flights and hotel.

Cheers.

Aer Arann fly into Waterford from Luton. There are miles of unspoilt empty beaches, countryside galore and plenty of good old fashioned local pubs in the middle of nowhere.

You could also fly into Galway and take the bus out to Spiddal and Kinvara and explore Connemara. Beautiful little villages in the middle of nowhere, perfect for getting away from it all.

You're mad.

Why on Earth do you want to come here?

P.s I would definitely not recommend the South East very dull.

I would recommend a visit to West Cork/Kerry if you do come here.

You can fly from Gatwick and most London Airports to Cork/Kerry (farranfore).

Galway Airport was closed two years ago. Such a shame, Galway is a lovely city and the airport was basically a pub with a runway. The next nearest airport is Shannon.

You're kidding! Carnmore was a great airport. Galway is one of my favourite cities. My da lived in Salthill and I used to love thumbing a lift into town.

yeah, can't go wrong with galway. you can do day trips from there to a few places, cliffs of moher etc

if you fly to Derry, you could cross into donegal or do north coast

If you're into train travel then the line out to Tralee is very picturesque, Dublin to Rosslare down the coast is quite scenic. Waterford to Limerick is also nice (not many trains though) and the recently re-opened Western Corridor from Limerick to Galway goes through fairly remote area.

Ireland and Holiday??? Do those words even go together?

well you wont find heat but youl find lovely hills/scenery , even beaches and plenty of 'sound' people. can imagine it could be very relaxing but its way more fun just getting drunk as an Irishman with errr Irishmen.
