Miffed at Youtube.

Went on today and checking my vids, it seems the comments etc has all changed, lots of features have been removed, is it ALL linked to having to have a Google+ account?...cause im not really wanting that.

yeah i noticed this last night, e.g. someone had replied to a comment and when i clicked the "replied to XXX" ratehr than showing his comment it opened another tab of the youtube video. The new comment thing is a bit special, it doesn't work

People want anonymity on the net for privacy and security reasons. Youtube does not agree.

Ive somehow unlinked my YouTube and google plus account. Even if they end up linked it wont show anything anyway as I have never put anything on it and all settings are private

I had no choice as I was uploading vids, so think I HAD to be signed into G+, I hate it, dont use it and want nothing to do with it ( not a real privacy thing, as I use FB).

I went to great pain having to change my G+ account to my "artist" name, same as here, now I cant even get away from it from a day to day usage.
I just resent that kind of service being forced onto me, im not saying they have a gun to my head, just makes me think ill close the account and move to DailyMotion or something.

Actually, if I remember rightly, google get pretty ****y if you do this.

Google+ and YouTube are now linked, and Google tries everything to get people to link up if they haven't already.

Yah, google claims people don't change their names often in real life, so they really limit you, and it takes a good while to even kick in.

The most annoying thing for me is that when you upload a video and it shares to G+ the little upload caption is suddenly put on the video as a comment as well.

Add that, plus the new somewhat messed up comment system and things are even harder to follow than before.

People can also post massive walls of text compared to previously as well, plus all these annoying # tags now.

Right now, I can't even view my susbcriptions, all it does is send me into a reload loop, then signs me out..

I did this, but by god they do NOT make it easy at all.

Even then I couldnt change my second name to something random, had to be cu3ed Hill....ffs.

I signed up for Google+ beta, trust me, it was the same name, it simply wouldn't accept my "youtube" account as being of a different name, it was either real name, or change, so I changed, but they still want a "real" name, so I gave them cu3ed Hill, in fact I Want to close the account but then you arnt not allowed any access to YT in any meaningful way.

Between this and having to have a gmail account for it, I think im just sick of Google to be honest.

So I've just checked in Chrome, where I'm logged into googlemail, and I can't see any of my YouTube uploads until I create a channel, and it wants to create a Google+ account and use my real name to do this.
If I search YouTube on Firefox (not logged into Google) then I can see all of my uploads under my original YouTube name. Does this mean I really can't manage/upload any videos without a Google+ account and changing my display name??

Amen to that. Considering erasing my Google existence as a result of their recent coercions.

Will miss embedded GMail chat, but that's about it. G+, YT, the constant changes to products without warning or step back, the closed source Android creep and increase of ads across searches are all getting a bit much for me.
