Call of Duty and Battefield sales figures?

Has either Activision or EA release any information regarding day one sales?

I'm interested but I haven't found anything, granted I'm tired, lazy and doing work so haven't looked that hard.

Activision have decided to do this differently this year. They've only posted sales to retail outlets. Wonder why.... *GTA* lol.

So they've posted a figure of 1 billion sales to retail.

Ea havent released them, Pre orders were less than BF3... they have no chance.

I have no idea how Activision have managed to create so much hype around a crap game, causing everyone to buy it on an annual basis. It even works on me. Every year I say "I'm not buying it this year" and yet I still end up getting caught up in the hype and buying it.

By contrast, I'v barely even heard anything about BF4, let alone considered buying it.

We've still got loads of copies of both left where I work, doubt that'd have been the case with the previous iterations of these games.

I think it's quite telling that they're not rushing out to provide sales figures.

Just seems a strange decision to release so close to nextgen release date. Most gamers will wait to buy it on nextgen surely?
